Active Flow and Alignment:
Maximize your Physical, Emotional and Mental well Being! This class is an interdisciplinary-improvisational flow style combining fun and creative movement sequences with breath instruction, articulate alignment cues and hands-on support. a short guided meditation at the end of every class gives students a complete experience of hatha yoga: restored body, calm mind, open heart, and uplifted spirit.
Baby & Me:
A postpartum class for mothers, fathers, grandparents or any caregiver with babies from 5 weeks to 24 months old. This ongoing class enables new parents to continue their yoga practice while learning and assisting in their babies development. For your Yoga Baby, this class will include unique poses, infant massage, and soothing music to help baby with sleep, digestion, development, and relaxation. For Yoga Parents this class will relieve the aches and pains from birth or parenting related injuries and stress as well as aid in recovery for new Moms. Practicing Yoga with your baby during this unique and special time is a fantastic way to create and deepen the bond within your family.
Children's Yoga:
It's never too early to teach children the benefits of yoga. In this program, your child will gain physical strength and flexibility; learn breathing techniques that calm the mind and body. Kat Taylor has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. She has been working with children for 15 years in various education environments. For the past 5 years she has been an elementary teacher in a Montessori classroom and has taught yoga both in her classroom and in after school enrichment programs.
Toddler/Family Yoga:
Parent and preschooler yoga! This class is for parents and 3-5 year old children to practice yoga together. No experience necessary. We will sing the Namaste Song, The Breathing Song and practice our sun salutations with the words that go along. There are many poses that are named for
animals and insects such as dog, cat, cow, snake, butterfly, bird, lion to name a few. I will demonstrate and we will practice these in a pose counter pose style together. I will also integrate poses from partner yoga which helps establish a great family connection to yoga.
Feel Good Yoga:
Yoga for Stiff People...An all levels Hatha yoga class, with the use of props and pose adjustments to increase the ease and effectiveness of the practice.
FitBall Yoga:
A fun workout for flexibility and strength. A great addition to your yoga practice. Come and join us bounce, stretch, balance, and lift. The exercise ball has that unique quality of allowing a huge range of movement that is difficult to achieve on the floor. Try it,... you'll like it!!!
Flow with Foundation:
Foundations in Flow combines the breath synchronized movements of Vinyasa with traditional asana alignment and foundation techniques to create a class that all levels can enjoy.
Gentle Yoga:
Based on the Hatha Yoga style. Gentle Yoga focuses on stretching and toning muscles that are often neglected, but so important to keeping you healthy and mobile. And best of all, Gentle Yoga is easy enough for beginners, so you can remain motivated to keep up your practice - day in and day out! Yoga can provide pain relief, relax stiff muscles, and ease sore joints. Yoga with it's controlled movements, pressures, stretches, and deep breathing relaxation, can also provide needed range of motion exercise.
Hatha:
Ancient system of combining postures with breath to bring flexibility, strength, balance, and a sense of physical well being to the body.
Kundalini Yoga:
Ancient science to awaken your inherent creative energy. Hand Positions (Mudra), Breath (Pranayam), Sound (Mantra), Posture, Movement, and Meditation are included in every class to achieve optimal physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual balance.
Meditation and Mindfulness for Stress Reduction:
Embark on the path toward increased inner peace and life satisfaction. Live a more sane lifestyle within our stress-inducing culture. Feel more content and less frazzled. Focus more effectively. Get in touch with your true priorities. Have more energy during the course of your day. Avoid making hurried decisions you'll regret later. Feel less "stressed out" overall.
Pre-Natal:
Take time to nurture yourself and your growing baby. Learn breathing techniques and yoga postures that are especially beneficial for pregnancy. Feel comfortable with the natural changes your body is undergoing and prepare to enter childbirth with relaxation and confidence.
Qigong:
(pronounced “chee gong”) originates from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is a system practiced for health maintenance, healing and increased vitality. “Qi”, is “life force energy” and “gong” means a skill or a practice that is cultivated. Qigong integrates graceful movements (postures and exercises), breathing techniques, and focused intentions. There are endless benefits of practicing Qigong and it has been said that both Qigong and breathwork leads one to experience the benefits of the Universal life force energy quicker than any other practice. This class is designed to help you cultivate building the Qi within and learn to project Qi for your own healing as well as the healing of others.
Restorative Yoga:
In this therapeutically-oriented, a series of passive, prop-supported poses will be combined with guided breath exercises, aroma therapy, and soothing music to neutralized the central and para sympathetic nervous systems. This automatically relaxes the body, clears the mind, and calms the emotions -- restoring health and well being on every level. Students will receive personal attention and hands-on adjustments.
Vinyasa:
Vinyasa flow uses momentum, music and breath. A flowing sequence of postures are linked together. These classes can be challenging. They build strength and stamina at the same time they increase flexibility. Breath is used to focus and quite the mind. Movement is used to open the body. Together they make your practice a meditation in motion. Class is followed by relaxation.
Yoga for Parkinsons:
The primary goal of the class is to empower Parkinson's patients with skills that will enable them to cope with the physical challenges of the disease. Particular attention is given to breathing, balance, and flexibility. Instruction is designed to meet individual needs. Exercises are done standing, sitting in a chair, and on the floor. Please join us to improve self-confidence, increase energy, and remain independent. Classes are free for Parkinsons's patients and care givers.
Yoga for Seniors:
Yoga for Seasoned Citizens! Yoga for those 55 or older. Come join us~no previous experience needed~ poses are adapted for individual need. Feel better and have more energy. Can even be done sitting in a chair.
Yoga for Weight Loss:
A 90 minute Yoga practice dedicated to becoming more aware of your body, improving body image, and healthy weight loss! Using vigorous flow sequences to increase cardiovascular function, held poses for balance and muscle tone, and meditation for freedom from body image issues, the class uses a multi-level approach for health of body and mind. Class suitable for all levels.
